Mahlangu’s contract expires at the end of June and, although Royal Zulu are keen to keep him, the midfielder appears reluctant to stay another season at the Durban side, which has crumbled badly since the departure of previous captain Bernard Parker for Serbia during mid-season.
AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic have made their intentions
of luring him to their respective clubs very clear, but Mahlangu looks set to
wait until the end of May before making a final decision regarding his future.
Following Thanda Royal Zulu's goalless draw against
Maritzburg United in their final league fixture of the season, they were forced
into the Platinum promotional play-offs against Carara Kicks, Mpumalanga Black
Aces and FC Cape Town to determine the last team that would enter the elite
division following the relegation of Bay United.
It will be interesting to see if Mahlangu will receive an
offer from one of the bigger clubs before he makes his decision.
