Former Ghana Goalkeeper Sammy Adjei Wants A Return To The Black Stars

The gloves man wants to make a U-turn…
Retired Ghana international goalkeeper Sammy Adjei has written to the Ghana FA to revoke his decision to quit the national team.

“I hereby rescind my decision to quit the national team, and wish to inform you that presently I’m very agile and active,” the Ghana News Agency quoted a portion of the letter from the former FC Ashdod gloves man.

“I believe strongly that I have a lot to offer this nation whenever I’m offered the opportunity again and I hope this humble letter meets your favourable consideration to serve a nation which has done so much for my football career.”

The 30-year-old voluntarily resigned from the Black Stars after the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil due to his uneasiness to play as a second goalkeeper. He is now back in the local league with Hearts of Oak.
