Egypt’s Zamalek drag Qatar international Hussein Yasser to Fifa over Lierse move

The Qatar international left the Cairo International Stadium to Herman Vanderpoortenstadion during the transfer window, and that has not gone down well with the White Knights
Egyptian giants Zamalek have commenced a legal case against former striker Hussein Yasser over his contentious transfer to Lierse.

The White Knights maintain that they have a contract with the Qatar international until 2014, and that his new two-year deal with the Belgian club remains invalid.

“We hired a Spanish lawyer for the case of Hussein Yasser’s illegal move to Lierse,” Zamalek board member Maher Abdul-Aziz said, according to “We will present all the documents proving our right in the player to him and then he shall file a complaint to Fifa through the Egyptian FA.”

The Cairo-based club has since confiscated the International Transfer Certificate of the 29-year-old, making it impossible for Lierse to feature him until the situation is resolved.
