After an initial delay, Nigeria striker Kalu Uche has finally rejoined Enyimba in the Nigeria Premier League.
Kalu who has stayed with the Aba side for four years after moving from Bussdor played for Enyimba last season.
But he decided not to sign for any club this season because he was eager to move abroad. When the deal with Wydad Casablanca fell through, he decided that he wanted to continue with Enyimba until a new deal materialises.
Kalu's lawyer Chike Onyeacho said he is optimistic that something good will come the player’s way in time.
"I advised him that the best option for him is to sign for Enyimba so that he will be busy until another opportunity comes his way,” Onyeacho told Goal.com.
"Remaining idle after the camping exercise of the home based Super Eagles will not be good for his career.
"He needs to continue to play and that is why he signed for Enyimba some weeks ago.
"People think he has no club, but he is with Enyimba and has promised to do his best to make sure that the team win the Premier League trophy this season.
"Uche is ready and wants to contribute his quota to the success of Enyimba," Onyeacho said.
