Equatorial Guinea 1-4 Nigeria (1-9 Agg.): Ekigho Ehiosun hat-trick gives Super Eagles Olympic hopes

Ekigho Ehiosun and Danny Uchechi help Nigeria to away win in Malabo...
Nigeria defeated Equatorial Guinea 4-1 in Malabo on Sunday to increase their chances of making an appearance at the London 2012 Olympics. African heavyweights Ghana and Cameroon both lost during this weekend's second leg matches.

A hat-trick from Warri Wolves striker Ekigho Ehiosun and a goal from Leicester City loanee Danny Uchechi helped Nigeria to a 9-1 aggregate win.

Even though Austin Eguavoen dropped a couple of players based abroad from the squad, they were still too powerful for their opponents.

Nigeria hope to qualify for the Olympic football tournament where they have won gold and silver at Atlanta '96 and Beijing 2008 respectively.

Nigeria will now await CAF’s draw on April 13 to find out who their next opponents will be.
