According to Voetbal International, Eindhoven side PSV have targeted Zhou Haibin as a potential signing. However, a legal construction is keeping the 23-year-old in China for now.
Haibin’s Shandon Luneng deal recently expired, meaning that the midfielder officially is a free agent. Nevertheless, the Chinese FA has the possibility to keep Haibin in China for 30 more months.
“No Chinese player has ever objected this construction before. It could be a huge blow for Chinese football if we win this case. We’ve already reached an agreement with the player and are full of confidence that he will join us in the near future,” said technical director Adrie van Kraay to VI.
“There are still some organisational problems. He doesn’t have a work permit yet and the Chinese FA haven’t released him yet. We want him to join us with immediate effect. He’s a real ‘European player’ with huge potential.”
