Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera is keen to return to the Hungarian national team, according to coach Sandor Egervari.
The newly appointed tactician has revealed that the 31-year-old wants to return to the national team set-up. Gera resigned from the squad a fall-out with then coach Erwin Koeman last year, but following the departure of the Dutchman it seems that the Fulham medio wants to play for his country again.
Gera and Egervari met in London and it has now been stated that the former West Bromwich Albion man is ready to don the Hungary colours again.
"We were talking through the whole morning and I spoke to him about the present situation and outlined him my plans with the team," Egervari told Origo.hu. "Zoli said that there were so many positive changes lately that he'd like to come back to the national team and I'm very happy about it.
"At that time he told the national coach that he doesn't want to play in the team for a while and now he told the national coach (to me) that he wants to play again because of the changed atmosphere."
