Miroslav Klose to announce departure from Bayern Munich on Monday – report

German striker is set to leave the Bavarian giants this month and will now formally make the declaration, as a number of clubs lay in wait for his signature

Miroslav Klose is set to part company with Bayern Munich this summer and will announce his departure on Monday, according to latest reports emanating from Germany.

Bild explains that the 32-year-old, whose contract with the former German and European champions expires at the end of this month, will formally declare his plan to leave the Bavarians.

Klose has refused Bayern’s latest offer of a one-year contract with the option to extend it by one more year. He reportedly wants an out-and-out two-year deal and also a higher salary than what Bayern are ready to offer him.

The Germany international forward has been with Bayern since 2007 but will now feature for a different club. Everton, Trabzonspor and Lazio have been linked with Klose and latest reports suggest that Spanish club Valencia too are interested in the former Werder Bremen striker.
