Bayern Munich midfielder Hamit Altintop has revealed that he will move abroad in the summer transfer window, even though he refused to confirm whether he will join Real Madrid on a Bosman move.
The Turkey international has an expiring contract with the Bavarians and has been linked with a move to the Copa del Rey winners.
"My future probably lies abroad. However, it's difficult to really say anything about it as long as I haven't signed anything," said Altintop to Goal.com.
"I hope that I will be able to announce my decision somewhere next week. I don't want to wait too long as I want some time to mentally prepare for the next step in my career.
"There has always been a lot of speculation about my future and there was some truth in it most of the time. I was never really sure though whether I wanted to leave or stay put. I can now confirm that I will move abroad though."
The 28-year-old joined Bayern from Schalke in the summer of 2007, but has never really been able to live up to expectations at FCB.
