Edin Dzeko's transfer saga appears to be coming to an end, as German publication Bild has reported the player is as good as gone to Manchester City, with the Citizens and their Sheikh offering Wolfsburg €35 million for the Bosnian attacker.
It is believed that Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan will pay €30 million initially and a further €5 million on the condition that Manchester City reach the UEFA Champions League this year.
If the transition goes smoothly Dzeko could make his EPL debut against Arsenal on January 5.
However, Die Wolfe director Dieter Hoeness has been reluctant to comment on the deal, but after an embarrassing 3-1 second round cup defeat to Cottbus, Hoeness has pinpointed problems in the camp and will look to restore harmony.
"The transfer window in January will bring daily speculation. We participate but do not comment," Hoeness told the press.
City coach Roberto Mancini replied: "If a player is as good as Dzeko, there are many interested parties. There is nothing impossible in football."
