Dutch FA Director Bert Van Oostveen Slams Bayern Munich President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge Over Arjen Robben Injury Saga

KNVB director Bert van Oostveen has hit out at Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge for his recent comments on the Arjen Robben injury saga.

Rummenigge revealed last week that the Dutch FA had recognised that they shoulder the burden of responsibility for Robben's injury, adding that he was cautiously optimistic of a resolution before too long.

However, Van Oostveen has now made it clear that the KNVB are not admitting any responsibility for Robben's injury problems.

"I'm getting so tired from Mr Rummenigge and his comments. We haven't had any recent meetings to discuss this matter and we definitely haven't admitted any responsibility for Robben's injury, nor will we do so in the future," said Van Oostveen to Voetbal International.

"All I can say about this is that the KNVB can't be blamed for Robben's injury after the 2010 World Cup and we won't financially compensate Bayern Munich for his injury problems.

"It's a complicated situation and we won't make any further comments until the issue is solved, unlike Mr Rummenigge."
