Martin Demichelis To Leave Bayern Munich In January - Report

After six and a half years in Bavaria, Martin Demichelis will likely leave Bayern Munich in January, according to a report from Kicker.

The Argentine centre-half has been unsettled since coach Louis van Gaal's 2009 arrival, and the relationship between the pair took a hit during Saturday's 3-0 victory over Hannover. After Daniel van Buyten was ruled out of the match with an injury, Van Gaal chose holding midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk to replace the Belgian, a clear snub to Demichelis. The 29-year-old is now expected to submit a transfer request.

Demichelis allegedly had a host of inquiries before the summer transfer window closed, although a deal was never completed. According to TZ, several teams from Spain, Italy and Argentina remain interested in his services.
