Bundesliga outfit Nuernberg have completed the signing of 20-year old Mehmet Ekici on loan from local rivals Bayern Munich. The attacking midfielder, who scored 18 goals in 70 matches with the Bayern reserves, will spend a year on loan to further develop his skills.
"In the past, young players have shown that they can achieve good progress in their development at Nuernberg," said Ekici to the official Nuernberg website. "The most important thing for me is to do my part to be able to help Nuernberg achieve their sporting goals."
Ekici is the third player this year to secure a loan from Bayern to Nuernberg. Before him, outsiders Andreas Ottl and Breno made the switch and enjoyed first team playing time.
