I Will Not Leave Hamburg This Summer - Eljero Elia

The tricky winger has made it clear that he will stay at HSV...
Hamburg's Dutch international Eljero Elia was recently linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side, but the tricky attacker has announced that he's not yet ready to move on.

"I haven't heard anything about the alleged interest of Juventus. I will still play at Hamburg next season. I'm not done learning here just yet," said Elia to German newspaper Bild.

"Last season didn't go according to plans. I made a good start, but everything went downhill after the tackle of Mainz player Noveski. I have played through the pain barrier ever since.

"We will be in much better physical condition next season since we don't play European football. I am 100 per cent sure that we will fight for the international places again next term. I'm really looking forward to playing at HSV again next season."

Elia currently sits in 755th position in the Castrol Rankings, but the Dutch attacker will surely climb to a higher position if he's able to play a full 2010-11 campaign.
