Reigning Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg have told midfielders Karim Ziani and Thomas Kahlenberg that they're no longer needed at the Volkswagen Arena, according to a report in Bild.
Ziani joined Wolfsburg from Olympique de Marseille last summer, but the Algerian international has failed to live up to the expectations with the Wolfe and has mainly been warming the bench.
The 27-year-old's only meaningful contribution to the back pages in Germany this season has been a training ground bust-up with Wolfsburg's star striker Edin Dzeko.
Kahlenberg left Ligue 1 outfit Auxerre for an adventure in the Bundesliga in the summer of 2009. However, the Danish international immediately picked up a hip injury and has been unable to make an impact so far.
The attacking midfielder recently expressed his desire to move on and now indeed appears to be on his way out of Wolfsburg at the end of the season.
