Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is piquing the interest of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, according to a report from the Times.
The South African has been an impressive performer for the Toffees this campaign having put injury behind him and scored a superb recent goal at Arsenal.
Bayern are believed to be planning for the likely exit of Franck Ribery and have identified Pienaar as a potential replacement.
Like Ribery, Pienaar enters the final year of his contract at the end of this season and has apparently been unimpressed by the Toffees' attempts to retain his services.
He rejected a contract extension last season that would have resulted in a pay cut in real terms after changes to UK tax law.
