Highly rated midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic is set to make his official Stuttgart debut in the upcoming Bundesliga match against table toppers Hamburg on Saturday.
The Serbian international joined the Schwaben from Serie A outfit Fiorentina on the last day of the summer transfer window, but immediately left the club on international duty with Serbia.
However, the 21-year-old returned to Stuttgart on Thursday in order to train with the team for the first time, and Kuzmanovic received a rousing round of applause upon his arrival on the pitch, according to the club's official website.
All the players who were away on international duty until Thursday morning went through an intensive regeneration and loosening-up programme, while the rest of the squad went through a regular training session.
The only absentee on the training pitch, aside from long-term injury concern Martin Lanig, was Mexican international Ricardo Osorio, who is expected to return to Stuttgart later on Friday.
