Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed that Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey is currently not one of the club's priorities.
"We know that Frey would join us, but we prefer to focus on German players," he explained during an interview with L'Equipe.
"We are focusing on [Manuel] Neuer of Schalke 04."
Frey has constantly been linked with a move to the Bavarians over the past couple of seasons, but it appears they have other ideas in mind.
Neuer certainly has youth on his side, being the first-choice goalkeeper for the Under-21 Germany side, who are currently in Sweden at the European championships.
Bayern are looking to bring in reinforcements after a disappointing 2008-09, where they lost the Bundesliga race to Wolfsburg and were humiliated in the Champions League by Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
