Hoffenheim Defender Edson Braafheid Earns Two-Match Suspension

Edson Braafheid will miss Hoffenheim's next two matches after being sent off against Kaiserslautern.
Hoffenheim defender Edson Braafheid was benched for 73 minutes in his team's 3-2 win against Kaiserslautern, on Saturday, but managed to get himself sent off within six minutes of his substitution. It was by no means a dream debut for the ex-Bayern man.

On Monday, the DFB sports court handed the Dutch left back a two-match ban for his high challenge on Christian Tiffert. The suspension has been ruled as a final verdict, meaning that the 27 year old will definitely miss his club's upcoming matches with Bayern Munich and Koeln.
