RUMOURS: Liverpool rival PSG for Premier League flop

Liverpool are looking to beat Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of Hatem Ben Arfa, according to RMC.

The 29-year-old has been in fine form for Nice this season, netting 16 goals and registering a four assists in 30 league outings, having overcome a torrid spell with Newcastle United.

AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also keen, with Ben Arfa expected to leave the Allianz Riviera on a free at the end of the season, though Liverpool and the Italian outfit are the first to offer contracts.

RMC claim Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Ben Arfa on multiple occasions this season and were in attendance in the recent win over Rennes, which saw the Frenchman net all three goals in a 3-0 victory.

While highly rated Rennes youngster Ousamane Dembele was another target for Liverpool on the day, Ben Arfa is expected to make a decision on his future in May.
