Former Romanian international midfielder Mirel Radoi has penned a two-year deal with UAE Pro-League club Al Ain.
Al Ain, who recently appointed Romanian Cosmin Olaroiu as their new coach, narrowly avoided relegation during the 2010-11 season and finished 10th.
The 2003 Asian champions also recently announced the signing of Argentine striker Ignacio Scocco from AEK Athens on a three-year deal.
Radoi, who joins Al Ain from Saudi Arabian champions Al Hilal, is a 30-year-old midfielder who can also play in defence.
The former Steaua Bucharest man retired from the Romanian national team last year after a confrontation with Razvan Lucescu.
Radoi passed a medical at the club on Friday but has returned to Romania, however he will re-join Al Ain for a pre-season camp in Italy and Austria in early July.
