Asian Champions League 2011 Draw Revealed, Finalists Zobahan To Face Al Shabab

ACL finalists Zobahan will take on semi finalists Al Shabab after the draw for the 2011 Champions League was made.
The draw for the 2011 Asian Champions League has been made in Kuala Lumpur, with 2010 finalists Zobahan placed in the same group as semi finalists Al Shabab.

Reigning Asian champions Seongnam Ilhwa failed to qualify for the tournament after being knocked out of the K-League finals by Jeonbuk Motors.

Iranian outfit Zobahan will also face Al Rayyan of Qatar and Emirates Club of the UAE after being lumped into Group D.

Elsewhere, cashed-up Uzbek club Bunyodkor will take on Asian giants Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) and Al Wahda, who won the UAE League last season and are about to take part in the Club World Cup.

In East Asia, the two Australian clubs have been handed tough draws.

Melbourne Victory will take on Jeju United, Gamba Osaka and Tianjin Teda in Group E while A-League champions Sydney FC are in Group H, where they will face the Winner of the Emperor's Cup/Kashima Antlers, Shanghai Shenhua and Samsung Bluewings.

If the Emperor's Cup winner has already qualified for the ACL, then the Antlers will take their place.

The West and East Asian play-offs will take place in February.
