Australia will take on European powerhouse Germany in an international friendly on March 29 in Monchengladbach, Football Federation Australia have confirmed.
Australia were thrashed 4-0 in their opening World Cup 2010 match in South Africa, and will be looking for revenge. Germany ended the tournament in third place.
"This will be a very special match and a great opportunity to test ourselves against a very well-respected opponent," Socceroos coach Holger Osieck told Reuters.
"I am confident that our players will be up for the challenge against such quality opposition."
Australia play World Cup quarter-finalists Paraguay in a friendly on October 9 before departing for the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar.
The side will take on South Korea, India and Bahrain in Group C.
