According to several reports from China, Nan Yong, president of the CFA (Chinese Football Association) has been questioned about his alleged involvement in a match-fixing scandal.
About 20 people in football have been questioned since the start of an investigation into match-fixing in Chinese football back in November. All of them eventually admitted they were involved in the scandal.
Aside from Nan Yong, two more high profile officials were questioned, too. Yang Yimin and Zhang Jianqiang were also taken to a police station. Yimin is a vice-head within the CFA, whilst Jiangiang is in charge of referee arrangements.
The CFA has yet to comment on the situation, but an official statement is expected to be released later this week to clarify the positions of the aforementioned trio.
