Veron scores winner for Argentine amateur side

The former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder scored the only goal as Estrella de Berisso came out on top against San Lorenzo de Villa Castells

We've all dreamed of a sharing a pitch with a star player of years gone by, but very few amateur footballers actually get to enjoy such an experience.

In Argentina, however, players at Estrella de Berisso were in for a shock when they were joined on the field for their latest match by former Manchester United, Chelsea and Argentina midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron.

The 41-year-old officially retired from the game two years ago and is currently the chairman of Estudiante de La Plata.

The veteran could not resist pulling his boots on one last time for his local club side, though, and even popped up with the only goal in their 1-0 win over San Lorenzo de Villa Castells.

With performances like that he might even get the call to run the midfield on a regular basis in the coming weeks.
