Dinamo Zagreb leave teenage prodigy behind after away match

Dinamo Zagreb have endured a turbulent season, with Arijan Ademi banned for doping, their junior team expelled from the Uefa Youth League - and now their star player left behind by the team bus.

After Sunday's league match against Hajduk Split, midfield prodigy Ante Coric - who has been linked with a number of Europe's top clubs - found himself abandoned at Stadion Poljud.

The 18-year-old was selected for a random drug test after the fixture, delaying his departure from the stadium.

When Coric finally did leave, he found the team had made their way back to Zagreb without him. Unsurprisingly baffled, he called coach Zoran Mamic and a car was sent to pick him up.

In the meantime, Coric was left twiddling his thumbs at an opposition stadium. The bus, it was later explained, had been told to leave by police while he was still with doping control.
