A special evening for the talented young striker took a tragic turn for the worse just yards away from the Mestalla pitch after his parent suffered a fatal heart attack
A night of glory has ended in tragedy for Valencia teenager Paco Alcacer following the death of his father, which happened minutes after the striker scored against Roma in a 3-0 win.

Marca.com
reports Alcacer's parent collapsed outside the Mestalla stadium shortly after watching his son in action against the Italians in the Naranja trophy friendly.

However, despite efforts from medics to revive him, the 17-year-old's dad died from a heart attack.

Having heard of the news, players and Valencia officials gathered around Alcacer and his family to offer solace and comfort.

The Spain Under-19 international scored Valencia's third goal in a stellar win over the Serie A club just minutes before his father passed away.

Roberto Soldado hit the net in the first half, while Roma's Federico Viviani scored an own goal.

However, the Spanish side's win has been overshadowed by the events off the pitch.
