Villarreal's Rossi attacks agent for fuelling transfer talk

The forward has often been linked with a move away from El Madrigal and the Italian has expressed his anger towards his representative for encouraging the speculation
Giuseppe Rossi insists that he has no desire to leave Villarreal and has slated his agent for suggesting otherwise.

The Italy international, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, is considered one of the best forwards in Europe and he has been repeatedly linked with a move away from El Madrigal.

His representative, Federico Pastorello, recently hinted that a summer transfer might be in the offing, but Rossi insists that he is going nowhere.

“[My agent Federico Pastorello] speaks a great deal and I’m angry with him for those statements, which do not reflect the truth,” the striker told El Periodico Mediterraneo.

“Now we have clarified things and I have told him that at Villarreal I cannot be touched, because for me, this club is like a second family.

“[Leaving] is not something I am thinking about. I understand people read newspapers and believe what is published, but sometimes things are not true and that makes me angry.”

Rossi has scored 54 goals in 136 La Liga appearances since joining Villarreal from Manchester United in 2007.
