Atletico Madrid's Gregorio Manzano: There is no conflict with Jose Antonio Reyes

The Spanish coach is looking to put an end to the controversy surrounding the winger's actions and underlined there is no problem with the player
Atletico Madrid coach Gregorio Manzano has played down the recent incident involving Jose Antonio Reyes.

TV footage appears to show Reyes swearing at the club's coach after being substituted in the second half of his side's 3-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao last week.

The 28-year-old watched Atletico's 3-1 victory against Zaragoza at the weekend from the stands and has been left out of the squad for the Europa League clash against Udinese on Thursday, allegedly with a flu.

However, Manzano has guaranteed there is no conflict with the former Arsenal man, telling reporters at a press conference: "There is no Reyes case, there is no problem with any of the players who have not played the last matches."

The 55-year-old coach then commented on his side's upcoming match, giving little importance that Udinese will be without injured striker Antonio Di Natale.

"The fact that their top scorer is not coming is one less worry, but in the Europa League he has not been scoring much," Manzano noted.

"Udinese are strong with or without him."
