Gerard Pique & Carles Puyol match fit for Barcelona's La Liga game against Mallorca

The defenders have shaken off their respective injuries and are expected to feature in this weekend's Primera Division encounter
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has received some promising news in the build-up to the league match against Real Mallorca as both Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol have been given the green light to feature on Saturday.

Pique already resumed regular training earlier this week after recovering from a hamstring injury, and Barcelona have now confirmed on their official website that Puyol has now joined his colleague.

Puyol missed last weekend's scoreless draw against Sevilla and Tuesday's 1-0 win over Granada due to problems in the pubis area, but the Spain international is raring to go again after his brief injury lay-off.

Barcelona currently sit third in La Liga with 21 points from nine encounters.

Saturday's league game against Mallorca at Camp Nou kicks off at 20:00 CET.
