Malaga are closely monitoring Barcelona youngsters Martin Montoya and Marc Bartra with a view to adding the defenders to their squad on free transfers at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, Sport reports.
The pair have contracts with the Camp Nou side which run until the summer of 2012, and negotiations regarding new deals have been unsuccessful to date.
Montoya made his league debut for Barcelona in February 2011, but the right-back has so far been unable to secure regular first-team football.
The 20-year-old has previously been linked with clubs such as Villarreal, Valencia and Roma, and Malaga have now joined the race for his signature.
Bartra, also 20, made his first-team debut against Atletico Madrid on February 14, 2010, but has mainly featured for Barcelona B since, and could, therefore, be tempted to move on.
Barcelona are still hopeful of holding on to the duo, but it remains to be seen whether they will be willing to match Malaga's offers.
