Barcelona to wear lighter shirts against Racing Santander

The Catalan giants will wear a shirt made of a different fabric against Hector Cuper's men this weekend after the previous model absorbed too much sweat
Barcelona have confirmed that they will wear a different shirt when they entertain Racing Santander on Saturday, according to Marca.

The Catalan club launched the new Nike kit at the beginning of the season yet the players have recently complained that the shirt absorbs sweat, causing it to reportedly weigh an extra 500 grams.

Pep Guardiola's side struggled with the problem in their 5-0 victory over Atletico Madrid three weeks ago, with heavy rain also adding to the problem.

However, the team's kit manufacturer have now changed the fabric of the shirt to correct the problem for the La Liga and Champions League winners.

Nike had previously blamed the issue on the dyes used to make the shirt, with Barcelona also having the same worries with their black away kit.

The club are currently top of the league, although only on goal difference with Levante level on points.
