The legendary Frenchman has confidence in the team built by Jose Mourinho at he Santiago Bernabeu, but warns that fighting for silverware in Spain will not come easy
Real Madrid director of sport Zinedine Zidane is happy with the path the team are on this season as he underlines his enthusiasm for the road ahead.

Jose Mourinho's men currently sit third in La Liga, just one point behind table toppers Barcelona.

They are also doing well in the Champions League with two wins from as many matches in Group D.

Zidane, who recently claimed he would be open to a future coach job with France, volunteered his view on the progress thus far, but he warned fighting for the Spanish title would be hard.

"Real Madrid are doing well and the team is in good form," the 1998 World Cup winner was quoted as saying by Ansa.

"But, La Liga is a difficult championship and it is a very competitive league."

Madrid take on Real Betis in the domestic league following the international break.
