Hector Moreno completes switch to Espanyol

The Mexican defender has ended his three-and-a-half year stint with the Dutch club and will further his career with the La Liga outfit
Hector Moreno has finalised his move to Espanyol from AZ, the Spanish outfit confirmed on their official website.

The Mexican centre back, who won an Eredivisie title during his time in Alkmaar, will join up with the Barcelona-based club after the Gold Cup in the USA.

Espanyol released a statement that read: "RCD Espanyol and AZ Alkmaar have reached an official agreement for Hector Moreno’s transfer for the next five seasons.”

However, the transfer fee for the player remains undisclosed.

Moreno moved to Holland in 2008 from Mexican team Pumas and quickly embedded himself as a permanent fixture in defence. As well as having a league medal, he also earned a cup win making 80 appearances and scoring six goals during his time in the Netherlands. .
