Vicente Del Bosque and Alvaro Arbeloa differ on view of Barcelona's Sergio Busquets

Contrasting views are made from the national team coach and the Merengues defender, after Uefa give the Barca player the green light to line up in the Champions League final
Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has defended Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, insisting that his man is not a racist person, whilst Real Madrid full-back Alvaro Arbeloa feels the player made deliberate misconduct in their Champions League semi-final first-leg clash.

These comments have come in the wake of the midfielder's disciplinary hearing at Uefa headquarters, where he was cleared of any racial abuse toward Real Madrid full-back Marcelo.

It was alleged that the 22-year-old had called the Brazilian left-back a "monkey" on camera, after his club had posted the video on their official website shortly before the second-leg had commenced.

Speaking at the Pro-Am charity golf event organised by the Apascovi Foundation, who also sponsor Sergio Ramos, Arbeloa took time out to clarify his position on the Busquets saga.

"I do not work for Uefa, but we know what was said and shown in the pictures. I'm not getting around it", said the ex-Liverpool man in defiant fashion, according to Marca. "But it doesn't take a genius to know what Busquets said."

Meanwhile, his national team coach Del Bosque was also present and took an opposing stance, after claiming the midfielder may have said the apparent racist word in a different context.

"He would never use the word in a racist way as he is a good guy," said the ex-Real Madrid tactician, according to El Pais. "He is the type of player that would sacrifice his individual ability for the benefit of his colleagues, and that's invaluable in a team."

The Catalan outfit will be delighted to make preparations for their titanic face-off with Manchester United in the upcoming Champions League final on May 28, knowing that their midfield general is eligible for selection.
