Experienced goalkeeper Jose Pinto will start for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final against rivals Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, AS reports.
The veteran shot-stopper has mainly been warming the bench in Catalunya since joining from Celta de Vigo in the summer of 2008, but he has been first choice in all domestic cup games this term.
Some expected head coach Pep Guardiola to drop the 35-year-old in favour of regular first-choice Victor Valdes due to the importance of the clash with Madrid, but the tactician is confident Pinto is up for the task.
Pinto has made 14 appearances so far for Barca in the 2010-11 campaign, and last played in the 3-1 La Liga win over Almeria on April 9.
The Copa del Rey final between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be played in Valencia's Mestalla stadium and kick off is at 22:00 CET.
