Sevilla defender Fernando Navarro has said that the recent dispute between team-mate Martin Caceres and coach Gregorio Manzano was resolved during a meeting before training yesterday.
Caceres had spoken out against Manzano’s decision to switch him from the centre of defence out to full-back, and that the tactician was including his "friends" in the starting line-up.
Navarro told journalists yesterday however that the problem had been forgotten, and that the players intend to move on and focus on the weekend trip to Racing.
He said: “We talked, things have become clear and it has settled the issue. He has spoken, the group has heard and there is no more to say. It only remains for us to get together and achieve our objectives, which are difficult, but there is still time.
“On Saturday we have an important game. There are many points still to play for, and the Champions League is still possible. But we must be realistic, and ensure that we take things game by game.”
