Barcelona midfielder Xavi was pleased with the way the team handled the tricky away game against Panathinaikos, marching to a 3-0 win which confirmed the Blaugrana's place at the top of Group D. Barcelona dominated the game and a double from Pedro will have lifted the team before Monday's El Clasico clash with Real Madrid.
"The whole team played well. We felt good on the field, which was a fairly large pitch, but it was not in perfect condition," Xavi told Sport.es.
Finally Pep Guardiola and his men can turn their attentions to the eagerly anticipated top of the table clash with Real Madrid.
"In this game Barcelona are favourites. We play at home, we are in very good shape and have a burning desire to win," said the midfielder.
