Palermo ace Javier Pastore has discouraged interest from Real Madrid, and Barcelona, telling them he has no reason to leave the Renzo Barbera.
Madrid and Barcelona have long been scrambling for the former Huracan star who is taking Serie A by storm. But Pastore has enlisted the support from his club who have claimed not even €60 million would see him leave.
The player himself has now stepped forward with his own overtones which suggest a radiant and flourishing future at Palermo.
"My future? I am well at Palermo and I don't think about anything else," he told La Repubblica. "The team is always growing, and I am growing with the team. I don't see any reason as to why a should leave."
But there was plenty to confront in terms of reasons to stay as he embraced the club's ethos of security and solidarity.
"Am I ready to be a leader? Yes, for sure. There are many leaders here, and I think I am one of them," he said.
"I have the environment to grow here and the experienced players help me. The coach Delio Rossi has also helped me to improve."
