Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has declared that English football misses him as he also confessed to a dramatic U-turn in his evaluation of Brazilian wing-back Marcelo.
Mourinho launched a thinly veiled attack on the Spanish media in his comments too, suggesting that there is too much talking about the game in the Iberian nation, similar to his experiences with Inter in Italy.
"I miss English football and English football misses me. I like English football because the matches only last 90 minutes. In Spain and in Italy there's the pre-game and post-game," was quoted as saying by AS
Los Merengues trainer admitted that he did not think the 22-year-old attacking left back was up to the task of defending, believing Marceloa to be too adventurous but he has since changed his mind.
"I did not like Marcelo because I felt he was anything but a defender. Now I'm in love with him. When they say that Real want to sign someone else, I say I do not want another left back. He has offensive and defensive quality and is growing," Mourinho added.
