Andres Iniesta has been looking forward to this weekend's clash with Atletico Madrid and reckons that the capital club are currently one of the best teams in Europe, and will give Barcelona a difficult challenge.
The Spanish playmaker was speaking today with Marca during a presentation of new computer game, FIFA 11, and assessed the recent performances of the team as well as looking ahead to this weekend’s encounter with los Colchoneros.
He said of the match at the Vicente Calderon: “The reality is that Atletico Madrid have won the UEFA Super Cup, won their first two league game, and have important players who are in good form. It will be difficult.
“Many of their players are internationals and today, they are one of the best teams in Europe.”
Iniesta also commented on the fact that Barcelona have been defeated in their last two away matches versus Atletico, last season’s being their only league defeat throughout the entire campaign.
He added: “Yes, last year was the only match we lost. They are historically a rival that make us uncomfortable and we have to try and make things right and break that slump. We try to do business as usual because we cannot play any other way.”
