Atletico Madrid's Super Cup goal heroes Jose Antonio Reyes and Kun Aguero have praised the team effort in their 2-0 win over Inter in Monaco.
Reyes opened the scoring for Atleti shortly after the hour mark before Aguero ensured the win with a close range tap-in late on, before goalkeeper David de Gea stopped a last minute penalty from Diego Milito.
"I got the goal that opened the scoring, the path to this happiness but it did not matter who scores, the only question was to win," Reyes declared, as quoted by AS.
"We have a team that can win titles and today we have again demonstrated that. We knew they had a great team but we were aware of our strengths. I dedicate the win to my son and my grandfather, God rest his soul."
Argentine forward Aguero was also delighted with the triumph, Atleti's second trophy in a matter of months.
"I feel great, I try to play my game and help the team. I am very happy to have another title , I'm very happy. I can say now that Atletico is the best in Europe. We are never the favourite, so we took this game with all seriousness," he noted.
"Whenever I play, I try to play my game and do my best. It was important to score because it was a final, but we have a great team and we all deserved it."
