OFFICIAL: Real Mallorca Sign Fernando Cavenaghi From Bordeaux

Real Mallorca have signed striker Fernando Cavenaghi from Bordeaux on a one-year loan deal with the Spanish club retaining the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2010-11 season.

Cavenaghi, whose current deal with Bordeaux runs until 2012, joined les Girondins in 2007 and won the Ligue 1 title with them in 2008-09.

Mallorca are struggling financially and have been disqualified from playing in this season's Europa League but coach Michael Laudrup wants to sign reinforcements ahead of the start of the new Liga campaign this weekend.

The Belearic club also announced on Thursday that they have signed Brazilian duo Edson Joao Ramos and Victor to five-year deals.
