Villarreal Coach Juan Carlos Garrido Acknowledges Job Almost Done Against Dnepr

Villarreal coach Juan Carlos Garrido has declared that his side have taken a massive step towards the group stages of the Europa League following their five goal demolition of Belarusian side Dnepr but added that he still expects his side to deliver a good performance in their second leg next week.

The Yellow Submarine raced into a four goal half time lead at the Madrigal thanks to goals from Carlos Marchena, Cani, Santi Cazorla and Borja Valero and Brazilian striker Nilmar added a fifth fifteen minutes from time.

"It's very positive because we got a good result and we had a great game. It was important to get a good result at home and we have succeeded," he said afterwards according to AS.

"We respected our opponents and we had a good first half. And we did it playing a good standard and with great intensity. The second half we knew would be harder.

"We got what we wanted and we are happy. The tie is on track. We want to play well in the second game and have a good tie. Things are very close, but we want to do things too well there in the second leg."
