Primera Division outfit Osasuna have completed the transfer of highly rated attacker Dejan Lekic from Red Star Belgrade for a reported €2.6 million fee. Osasuna have confirmed the transfer on their official website.
Los Rojillos were eager to add a new attacker to their squad ahead of next season and head coach Jose Antonio Camacho had supposedly made the capture of Lekic one of his primary objectives this summer.
The Serbian international joined Red Star from FK Zemun in the summer of 2009 and quickly became a key player at his new club last season. Lekic scored 12 goals in 25 official appearances for the Serbian side.
Lekic only just missed out on Serbia's World Cup squad, but this didn't stop Osasuna from making a move for the 25-year-old. The towering forward has signed a five-year deal with the Liga side.
The striker is Osasuna's third signing of the summer transfer window after the previous capture of Asier Riesgo and Fernando Soriano.
