According to reports in Argentina, Lanus forward Eduardo Salvio has agreed a move to Atletico Madrid and is currently on his way to the Spanish capital to sign a contract.
Both Argentine media giants, TyC and Clarin claim a deal has been agreed between Atletico and Lanus and reports suggest the forward will be officially unveiled on Saturday.
While Atletico initially offered a fee of around €8 million for the Argentine, Lanus were said to be reluctant to let the young forward go, forcing the Spaniards to up their bid to €10 million.
Salvio, 19, has played 47 games in Lanus and scored 13 goals. He has also won two full international caps for Argentina.
'Toto', as he is known in Argentina, will become Atleti’s second signing of the winter transfer window, with the club having already sealed a loan deal for Juventus midfielder Tiago.
