Fenerbache defender Roberto Carlos has said that he would play for Real Madrid for free after his current deal with the Turkish outfit expires, according to AS.
The veteran Brazilian full-back is in his third season with Fenerbahce, who have enjoyed a perfect start to their league campaign winning their first eight games but Carlos says he will leave the club in December.
"It's my third season there [in Turkey], but I have decided I will leave in December. I would like to return to Brazil and play for a team there," said the 36-year-old.
"I would be willing to play for Madrid for six months from January to June, for free. I would like this. In Madrid I spent many wonderful years, I've won everything and I
consider it my home."
During his eleven seasons with Los Merengues Roberto Carlos scored 71 goals from left-back in 584 appearances and while returning as a player is a dream for the Brazilian he does see himself returning to the Bernabeu in some capacity in the future.
"It is very important for me to return to Real Madrid, of course I would like as
a player, but if possible I would like to work here with children, young people
and teach them everything I know," he added.
