Luis Figo Looking Forward To Barcelona's Champions League Tie With Inter

Luis Figo, formerly of both Inter and Barcelona, believes that the Italian champions are the strongest side in the Champions League this season after signing Samuel Eto'o.

Asked whether Barcelona are the favourites for the tournament, Figo is quoted in El Mundo Deportivo as saying, "The team to beat is Inter. They have obtained European experience in the last few years and have made some good signings this summer.

"We are looking forward to seeing what Eto'o can do here. I think his signing was a great piece of business by Inter - he and Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] are completely different."

Figo, who is still connected with the Beneamata after his retirement this summer, reserved a few words for Xavi, adding that he could see the 29-year-old's potential during his time with the Blaugrana.

"I felt something special about him. When I played at Barcelona, Xavi was starting to breakthrough and we called each other 'Maestro'. I could see his great qualities then," the Portuguese concluded.
