Barcelona’s new brilliant Brazilian, Keirrison, has spoke of the adulation he has for his new club, and hopes to be part of Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans as soon as possible.
The 20-year-old has joined from Palmeiras on a 5-year deal, and is likely to be loaned out initially in order to gain experience in European football, with Roma a purported destination for the young forward.
The player himself is overjoyed to have arrived at such an illustrious club as such an early stage of his career, and Barcelona’s official website has the player commenting, “I hope to break into Pep Guardiola’s side, and join many other famous Brazilians who have played here.
“This club are the best in the world, and I am very lucky to be here so young. I have time to show my talents and win titles.”
Keirrison also added that he recalled watching the likes of Romario, Ronaldo and Rivaldo playing for Barcelona as a boy, and dreamt of one day emulating the achievements of those Brazilian greats.
He stated, “I always followed Barcelona and the Brazilian players who played here. Now at 20-years old, I am very happy to be here, fulfilling my dream of playing at the best club in the world."
