New Malaga signing Patrick Jan Mtiliga said at his presentation today that he has "worked very hard to obtain this dream" and that he is "happy" to play in La Primera with the Andalucian side.
The defender has joined the club on a two-year deal from NAC Breda and his contract also has an option for an extra year as well.
EFE quote him as saying this morning that "the people in Malaga are very nice and it is exciting for me to be here".
He was asked also about what he knows about the Spanish club and clarified that "I know what the team did last season and after that everyone knows Malaga".
Even though the president Fernando Sanz has admitted that survival is the main aim, Mtiliga stated today he hopes they put in a "similar performance" to the one last year which saw them finish in the top-half of the table.
With regards to his own style of play, the Dane described himself as "fast and aggressive" but said his main goal is to be known for his own characteristics rather than being compared to other players.
